“こと koto ( a Japanese classical musical instrument with strings) has two moras.
However “コート ko-o-to (overcoat)” is a three mora word since the long vowel “ko-o” is considered to have two moras.
“コント ko-n-to (a short comedy or a skit)” is a three mora word, because the “n” sound is an independent mora.
